Description
Red Hat System Administration I (RH124) equips you with Linux® administration “survival skills” by focusing on foundational Linux concepts and core tasks. You will learn how to apply command-line concepts and enterprise-level tools, starting you on your journey toward becoming a full-time Linux system administrator.

Internet Access with a decent monitor

All Summer Working Connections attendees will need a strong and dependable internet connection. A web camera is preferred to help with class interactions.

Instructor

Professor Lawrence Rodis has used Unix/Linux since the early 80s. Rodis has a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Arizona State University. He owns his own small IT consulting/managed service provider and has been teaching IT courses since 1999.

Track Objectives
The Introduction to Linux I course objectives cover basic skills Linux administration. This course covers the material for the first part of the Red Hat Certified System Administrator exam.

Red Hat System Administration I (RH124) is an Introduction to the Linux Operating System. This course equips you with Linux administration “survival skills” by focusing on foundational Linux concepts and core tasks. You will learn how to apply command-line concepts and enterprise-level tools, starting you on your journey toward becoming a full-time Linux system administrator.
